Two Cave City residents were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Glasgow earlier this week.

Richard Craine was driving north on North Race Street in a 2025 Kia Soul when his vehicle veered sharply into a utility pole at the intersection of Race and Michelle streets, witnesses told Glasgow police.

Officer Jonathan Pendley wrote in the narrative of the uniform citation report of the crash that when he arrived at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday that both Richard Craine and a passenger in his car, Patricia Craine, were injured. Neither the witnesses nor the Craines could provide a cause for the crash.

Both Richard and Patricia Craine were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe EMS.

The roadway was closed until 12:20 p.m., according to the citation.
