The Barren County Trojans suffered their second loss of the season Tuesday, 57-47, at South Warren.
The Trojans struggled to score in the first half, and fell behind 21-16 at the break. They scored 10 in the first quarter, and only six points in the second.
Barren edged South, 15-14, in the third quarter and trailed by four, 35-31, headed into the fourth period.
The Spartans held off the Trojans in the final period with a 22-16 edge.
The loss dropped Barren to 4-2 with the loss. On Thursday, Allen County-Scottsville visits Barren for a key 15th District showdown. The boys’ game tips at 7:30 p.m.
