Candy Walton Cole 74, passed away early morning Saturday, December 13, 2025. Her beautiful soul whose gift for bringing people together shaped her loving community in profound ways. A native of Mount Vernon, OH, she came to Metcalfe County, Kentucky with her young family in 1978, and made a loving home. She was a real estate agent first with Estes Realty and later with her own company, Country Roads Realty. She continued following her passion for helping others at Bowling Park in Edmonton where she ran homeless shelter and food pantry.
She is survived by two sisters, Cassie Parham of Kettle, KY and Connie Ewen of Tucson, AZ; her husband, Gary Cole of Randolph, KY; her two daughters, Amy Wilk of KY and Cheyanna Stevenson of FL and two sons Peter Ruiz and Josh Ruiz, both of CA; and her eight grand and great-grandchildren. As she would have wanted, her family is spread across the world, carrying forward her legacy of love. She is enormously missed by her many friends as well as her family.
Candy chose cremation with no services scheduled at this time. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home are assisting family with arrangements.
