Lenora (Tody) Steenbergen, 94, died Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Tody was born in Hartsville, Tennessee on May 21, 1931 to Leslie C. Brockett and Mary Elizabeth Brockett (both deceased). She is a graduate of Trousdale County High School. After graduation and a short courtship, Tody married Jewett Ralph Steenbergen in September of 1952. They lived in Wedgewood in Glasgow until Jewett’s passing in January of 2014. She and Jewett were members of the South Green Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Brockett Jr,; one sister, Edna Lanwood (Lannie) Brockett Price (Ralph); one brother-in-law, Dewey Steenbergen Jr., (Virginia); three sisters-in-laws, Mildred Niemeirer (Denver), Frances Holmes (Carroll) and Wanda Self Curd; her nephews Phillip Price and Sonny Brockett and one niece, Patty Cymbala.
Tody is survived by one nephew, Ferrell Price (Elaine) of Bowling Green; her caregivers, Jewett’s nephew Bobby Steenbergen (Gayle) and her nieces Carole Dawn Holmes Durham (Terry) and Lisa Holmes Edmunds (Sammy) of Glasgow and many other nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services for Tody Steenbergen will be held at 1PM Friday, November 14, 2025 at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10 am until 1:00 pm at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home.
