Bruce D. Gibson, Glasgow

Bruce D. Gibson, 84, passed away Monday, November 10,2025 after twenty-five years living with Parkinson’s Disease. Son of the late Byron and Ruth Cowles Gibson, he was born in Barren County on March 31,1941. Bruce was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from R.R. Donnelley and Sons and was a member of the Columbia Avenue Church of Christ. He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, playing pool and watching all sports.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Kathleen (Kathy) Gibson; a son, Brian Gibson (Min Hee) of Springfield, VA; a daughter, Erin Morgan (Jason) of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Eleri Carruthers (Dean) of Bowling Green, Ryan Morgan of Glasgow and Samuel Morgan (Payden) of Glasgow; two great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Daryl Johnson (Judy) of Bowling Green; sister-in-law, Lisa Schmidt (Danny) of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Garnet Allen; sister-in-aw, Charleen Allen; sister, Frances Perry; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Andrew and Marie Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00AM, with visitation from 9:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service. Burial will be in the Merry Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, alternate expression of sympathy may take form of donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
