Hilda Joyce Smith England, 71 of Burkesville, Kentucky, died Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on Thursday June 24, 1954, a daughter of William Milton Smith & Hallie Evelyn (Keith) Smith. She was of the Christian faith and a devoted homemaker. She cherished her time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Larry England, whom she wed on Friday November 17, 1989, and a sister, Sherry Long.
She is survived by her children, Larry (& Amanda) England of Burkesville, Kentucky, Sheena (& Claude) Porter of Anderson, Indiana; siblings, William Smith Jr. (& Joan) of Monticello, Kentucky, Judy (& Judd) Gentry of Glasgow, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kayla Kerr, Aiden Porter, Lincoln England, Mackenzie Porter, Logan Porter, Kennedy England, Truman England, Fox Porter, and August Porter.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:30 pm C.S.T in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Nickie Richards officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 5, starting at 5:00 pm C.S.T until the funeral hour on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky.
