Alice Roberta Lane, age 86 of Horse Cave, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at Signature Health Care of Hart County with her loving family by her side. She was a native of Metcalfe County and a member of Joyners Chapel Church. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, and being with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great- great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Robert P. Lane. She is also preceded in death by one son Brent Lane; two daughters, Freda Lane and Jenny Hearld (Donnie); her parents John and Ruby Harlow; two brothers, George Harlow, and Phil Harlow; one sister, Jean Tucker.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Sturgeon (Edward) and Deborah Tutor (David Paige); one brother, Stan Harlow (Pat); one sister Dottie Welshire, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Winn Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Lane Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1:00PM to 8:00PM, and will continue after 9:00AM on Friday until the time of the service.
