It was a day of narrow misses for Glasgow at the Boys’ Region 3 Golf Tournament Tuesday.
The Scotties finished third as a team after a playoff, and Griffin Jackson finished second as an individual after a playoff. Jackson shot 3-under par 69. Rowdy Harris of Bowling Green won the individual title, while Greenwood won the team title.
Also for the Scotties, Tate Pace shot 76, Jackson Norris fired 80, Tucker Garrett posted an 84, and Carter Hodges finished with 86.
Barren County finished 11th as a team. Jay Houchens led the Trojans with an 82, while J.P. Ross fired 83, Cameron Pippen posted an 86, Lincoln Zalla shot 91, and Kade Hardy finished with a 107.
Bowling Green as a team advanced to the Boys’ State First Round next week at Calvert City Country Club by beating Glasgow in the playoff.
Jackson and Pace each advanced as individuals. The top two teams and the next 10 individuals make the cut for the next round of the golf postseason.
