RECAP: Scotties rout Adair, 49-0

Glasgow rolled over Adair County on Friday night, 49-0. The win improved the Scotties to 5-0 on the season and 1-0 in their district.

Jaylen Bradley opened the scoring for Glasgow with a 65 yard touchdown run with 8:34 left in the first quarter. The extra point kick was off target and the Scotties led 6-0.

Bradley struck again two minutes later when he returned an interception 48 yards for a score. Hudson Gumm ran in the two-point conversion and Glasgow was up 14-0.

Glasgow went up 22 to nothing before the end of the first quarter when umm connected with Jerrick Martin on a 2-yard TD pass. Bradley ran in the 2-point conversion.

It took a little while, but Glasgow added two more touchdowns in the second quarter to start a running clock on the game by halftime.

With 3:51 left in the first half, Jaithan Franklin scored on a 1-yard run. Gumm threw to Kaebran Jones for the 2-point conversion.

Then with 1:05 left before the break, Gumm connected with Jones on a 31-yard touchdown pass.

Glasgow led 36-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Martin scored on a 38-yard touchdown. He took a receiver screen from Gumm to the house. Levi Mann kicked the extra point.

The Scotties capped the scoring in the game with 1:50 to play. With the back ups in the game, Trace England threw 25 yards to Breylin Saltsman for the final score of the game.

Gumm completed 9-of-16 passes for 149 yards. Trace England completed 5-of-7 for 73 yards.

Martin caught eight passes for 88 yards and two scores. Jones caught two passes for 42 yards, while Brad Smith caught two passes for 29 yards, and Saltsman caught the 25-yard touchdown pass.

Bradley led the Scotties in rushing with 131 yards on eight carries. Cam Bulle ran for 22 yards, and Gumm rushed for 21.

Glasgow is at home next Friday against Hart County. It will be another district game that kicks off at 7 p.m.
