Elizabeth “Carolyn” Lemily of Bowling Green, Kentucky died at Hospice of Southern Kentucky on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 5:56am. Carolyn was a native of Cumberland County, Kentucky and was born to the late Tilman and Ima (Radford) Strange on October 19, 1949.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard “Bernie” Lemily. While Carolyn was known to many in her earlier years as a hair stylist, the ladder portion of her life she spend as an incredible homemaker and friend to many. She loved the Lord and had a gift of encouragement that was an anointing from Him.
Survivors include her son Chris Lemily (Christa); four daughters, Mary Beth Lemily, Amy Lemily Hinton (Pastor Brad), Megan Lemily Stewart (Chase) and Michelle Lemily; two sisters, Patsy Anderson (Larry) and Sheila Dickson (late husband Joe) and one brother David Strange; eight precious grandchildren, Kaityln Stevens (Bryant), Madison Lemily, Peyton Lemily, Knox Hinton, Ava Hinton, Nolan Gettings, Theodore Toney and Quinn Stewart.
Graveside services will be held at 2PM Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Bowling Green Gardens in Section J. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
