Marcella Lindsey Basham, 83, of Smiths Grove, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at her home. Marcella was born in Edmonson County to the late James Monroe Lindsey and Cordie May Burkhead Lindsey.
Marcella was a member of the United Church of God. She enjoyed painting, working in her flowers, and crocheting. She worked hard to provide a loving and caring home for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Lynny Dale Harshfield and Steven Ray Hillard; sisters, Margie Frank and Patricia Baize; and a grandson, Carl Cline, Jr.
She is survived by five sons, Wayne Harshfield, Jr. (Kathy), Monty Harshfield (Tammy), Jeff Hillard (Susan), Robert Basham, Jr. and Marcus Basham; two daughters; Annette Cline and Laura Miller; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren;; sisters, Novella Smith, Mildred Whobrey, Susie McGaughey and Barbara Casey; brothers, David Lindsey and Odell Lindsey and her former husband, Robert Basham, Sr.
Funeral services for Marcella Lindsey Basham will be held at 2PM Friday, September 12, 2025 at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Big Reedy, outside of Caneyville, Kentucky.
Friends and families may pay their respects on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00PM at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
