Geneva Emerson Hodge, age 93 of Merry Oaks, died Monday, September 1, 2025 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Barren County native was born on March 25, 1932 to the late Harry and Arzie Moore Emerson. She was married to her husband of over sixty years, Kenneth Hodge, until they were parted by his passing on September 9, 2014.
Geneva devoted herself to her family as a dedicated housewife, always ensuring her loved ones were nurtured and well cared for. She was a cherished member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where she built lasting friendships. In her spare time, Geneva found joy in tending to her beautiful flower garden, which reflected her caring and loving nature.
She leaves to honor her memory, her sons, Rickie Hodge of Bowling Green and Mike Hodge (Sheila) of Merry Oaks; three grandchildren, Chris Hodge (Crystal), Kelly Hodge (Jaime) and Robin Kidwell (Roger); four great-grandchildren, Josh Hodge, Bradley Kidwell, Charity Kidwell and Kayla Hodge; step-grandchildren, Daulton Brummitt and Blaine Mooneyhan; her beloved fur baby, Tiger and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she also was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Richard and Pat Emerson and Charlene and Bud Klusmeier.
Funeral services for Geneva Emerson Hodge will be held at 11AM Friday, September 5, 2025 at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel with interment in Merry Oaks Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 7PM Thursday and 9—11 AM, Friday at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel
