Floyd Thacker Jr., age 69 of Burkesville, Kentucky died Saturday, August 23, 2025 at his home. He was born on September 26, 1955 in Barren County, KY to the late Floyd Thacker Sr. and Virgie Huff Norris. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Union Church and a former employee of Bob Evans. He loved fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Keith Thacker, James McClusky, and Alfred Hill, and three sisters Barbara Shaw, Joan Long, and Patty Bow.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Thacker; one daughter, Amy J. Stilts(Jackie) of Burkesville, Kentucky; three sons, Floyd H. Thacker (Susie), Kevin Y. Thacker(Courtney B.) and Daniel J. Blakley all of Burkesville, Kentucky; five brothers, Garon Norris(Elsie) of Edmonton, Kentucky, Timmy Norris(Melody) of Sebring, Florida, Charles Wheeler(Judy) of Burkesville, Kentucky, Elvis Thacker(Tammy) of Burkesville, Kentucky and Roger Thacker of Crawfordsville, Indiana; one sister, Gail Waid(Benny) of Burkesville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Courtney N. Thacker, Chelsey Angel, Katie Thacker, Anna Mae Thacker, Finnley Garrett, Keegan Blakley, Holten Stilts, Karynda Stilts; eight great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, August 25, 2025 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, Kentucky with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Sunday, August 24 from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. and on Monday from 6 A.M. till time for the service at 11 A. M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home
