After several years in Bowling Green, the W.A. Weldon Tennis Tournament returned to Glasgow. The tournament started in Glasgow in 1928, and was played at Gorin Park tennis courts until a few years ago. It was played over the weekend at Barren County High School.
The singles action began Friday afternoon. Broc Fletcher of Carmel, Ind., battled his way to the title with a 7-5, 6-0, win over Colby Berson of Louisville on Sunday afternoon.
The doubles team of Eli Wood and Colby Fletcher defeated Zack Kuo and Jose Legarreta, 6-3, 6-2, to win the Jim Moody Doubles Classic.
Matthew Smith of Elizabethtown won the Jack Goodman Sportsmanship Award.
