Dorothy Davis “Granny Dot” Wilhoite, age 94, of Horse Cave, passed away Monday, March 03, 2025, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was a member at Cave City Christian Church. Dorothy worked in the lunchroom at Caverna Schools for many years and made an impact on many children. She loved gardening and spending time in her yard. Dorothy and Tom enjoyed camping and being out in nature. She loved the Lord and was a faithful servant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Wilhoite; one daughter, Brenda Hatcher; infant son, David Thomas Wilhoite; sister, Mildred Hay; two brothers, Bobby Davis, and Roy Davis.
She is survived by her son, Lloyd Wilhoite (Pam), five grandchildren, Tammy Bruton (Beau), Traci Cox, Troy Hatcher, Ben Wilhoite (Kamiko), and Jeremy Wilhoite; six great-grandchildren, Shelby, Skylar, Kaleigh, Madison, Briley, and Bentley; siblings, John Davis (Joan), Wanda Williams (Jimmy), Harold Davis (Rhonda); several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM CST on Friday, March 07, 2025, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 06, 2025, from 3:00PM to 8:00PM CST, and will continue after 8:00AM on Friday until the time of the service at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be given to Winn Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
