Warren East shot nearly 50 percent against Allen County-Scottsville on Monday to punch its ticket to the Girls’ 15th District Tournament title game Thursday against Barren County.
The Lady Raiders were hot from downtown in the first half, and scored 18 of their 30 points from behind the arc. They led the Lady Patriots, 30-23, at the break.
Avery Morris opened the scoring for Allen in the third quarter with an and-1. East posted the next 10 points to take a double-digit lead, 40-26, and controlled the game from there en route to a 71-47 victory.
Morris finished with 18 points to lead all scorers. Deborah Patrick added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Lady Patriots, and Aubrie Naiser finished with 11.
Sam Carver led Warren East with 17 points, while Kennedy Lawson posted 13, Madison Lawson scored 12 and Lydia Jones finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
East and Barren play at 6 p.m. Thursday at Barren County High School.
