BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The 2025 Under Armour Next All-America match featuring 28 of the best high school volleyball players in the country took place on New Year’s Day in Orlando, Florida, with incoming Hilltopper Kate Rush joining the ranks.
Rush is the granddaughter of Phil and Margie Patton of Glasgow. earned her invitation after setting career records in assists, blocks, aces, and hitting percentage at Great Crossing High School. She was named Ms. Kentucky Volleyball in 2025 and was also named First Team All-State in 2023 and 2024. Leading her high school squad to four-straight district championships, she also led the Warhawks to an All-Region championship in 2021. She’s set to join WKU Volleyball as an early enrollee in the Spring of 2025.
“What a tremendous honor for Kate and for WKU Volleyball,” said WKU Volleyball Head Coach, Travis Hudson. “She is a very gifted athlete who is only scratching the surface of what she will become. She has a tremendous future ahead of her on the Hill.”
Wednesday’s match will re-air on ESPNU at 8 p.m. CT on Friday, January 3.
