Christopher Rye, 24, who is indicted on three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and a count of second-degree assault, returned to Barren County Circuit Court on Monday, Nov. 18.
Not a lot happened during the Monday court appearance other than Commonwealth’s Attorney John Gardner said they were going to schedule mediation prior to the next pretrial conference on Feb. 3 at 1 p.m.
Rye was initially arrested by the Glasgow Police Department on May 25 after he allegedly got into a verbal altercation that led to Rye shooting teenager Matthew Arms.
He was indicted by a Barren County grand jury nearly two months later on three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree assault.
