The city of Glasgow was recently recognized with an outstanding programs award for the 2024 helicopter egg drop from the Kentucky Recreation and Parks Society.
The award was given for outstanding contributions to the community and to the recreation profession.
“With great partnerships and hard work, we’ve been able to continue to offer excellent programs and events to our citizens,” Glasgow Parks and Recreation Director Eddie Furlong said. “It’s an honor to be recognized by KRPS for this award”
The Kentucky Recreation and Parks Society is a state affiliate of the National Recreation and Park Association and “provides training and continuing education[al] opportunities” for recreation and elected officials. They gave the award during their annual state conference and trade show at Lake Barkley State Park in Cadiz, Kentucky.
