HORSE CAVE — The Caverna Colonels closed the final four minutes Monday night with a 12-4 run to win their season opener, 67-59, over visiting Fort Knox.

Caverna built a 53-47 lead early in the final period, but the Eagles posted an 8-2 run to tie the game at 55-all with 4:10 left in the contest.

Caverna returns to action Friday at District 18 rival Hart County at 7 p.m.
