Leitchfield Police have arrested two people after an investigation into a school threat made on Snapchat.
According to a press release, suspects were arrested outside of the target location, and charged with second-degree terroristic threatening. The charge stemmed from a threat made against Grayson County High School.
Leitchfield Police were assisted by Kentucky State Police, ATF, FBI, Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Secret Service.
Authorities believe the threat was made by the juvenile, while an adult was arrested for the association with the phone threats were made from. Police also exercised a search warrant of the suspects’ property and seized controlled substances, hundreds of firearms and electronics, which the threat-making juvenile had access to.
Additional charges at the state and federal level may be the result of this incident.
