The 5th Annual Watermelon Drop is underway now, with a big turnout of locals who came to watch people throw watermelons at targets from planes.
“We had a lot of community effort to bring this event together,” said Hailey McIntyre, whose husband flies from the airport, and who helped coordinate and staff the event.
Cleary Construction donated the food, Walmart donated water, Calvin Wiley donated the children’s gifts homemade ice cream was made by Anthony Holcomb.
