If you are out and about in Cave City, you might spot a new officer, only he will be on four paws, and possibly wagging his tail.
The CCPD welcomed a new Dutch Shepherd, Mako, to the ranks this week.
Mako and his partner, Officer Jacob Kersey, have earned their dual purpose certification in narcotics tracking and detecting.
The arrival of Mako is part of the department’s efforts to eradicate drugs, while simultaneously expanding the K-9 unit.
