Timothy Alan Witten

Timothy Alan Witten, age 68, passed away on August 26, 2024 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born on August 8, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Timothy is preceded in death by his biological mother Evelyn Marie (McKenzie) Witten and his father Wilburn E. Witten.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Helen Witten, who loved him unconditionally and nurtured him with endless care and affection.

Tim’s life was a testament to his deep love for his family and hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Tim was a proud graduate of Western Kentucky University, retired from General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant, and started Kentucky Fire and Safety Compliance. His continued commitment to public safety was unwavering. He was a respected educator in EMS and fire safety, sharing his knowledge and experience with countless students and professionals. His teachings have undoubtedly saved lives and will continue to impact the community for years to come.

Additionally, photography was another of Tim’s passions. Through his lens, he preserved precious memories and shared his unique perspective with those around him.

Tim was the beloved husband of Donna, with whom he shared 18 years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and love, and together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. As a father, Tim was a source of endless love and support for his children. He took immense pride in their achievements and was always there to offer guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life.

Tim’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and service. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.

Survivors include his loving wife Donna (Pirtle) Witten. Four children; Ashley Baessler (Wes), Brittany Castles (Todd), Jerry (Deann), and Todd (Rebecca). Eight grandchildren; Henry Witt, Hailey, Leah, Harper, Will (Jenessa), Megan, Talon, and Samuel. One great grandchild on the way. His mother Helen Witten, as well as several extended family also survive.

A private celebration of Tim’s life will be held with close family and friends. We appreciate your understanding and support during this time.
