Glenda Sue Wiles Claborn, age 77 of Franklin, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024 at her residence. A native of Madisonville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Willie Wiles and Ona Mae Stroud Wiles. She was retired from the Simpson County School System. She loved to travel and spend the winter months in Florida.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband – Glenn Claborn, daughter – Lea Ann Gosser, brother – Mike Wiles and her grand son who was her favorite person in the whole wide world, Luke Groves.
Glenda is survived by her daughter – Shelley Groves Spears (Eric) of Franklin; sister – Dianna Stark (Bobby) of Franklin; brother – Gary Wiles (Kimberly) of Sebastian, Florida; grandchildren – Alyssa Spears (Jesse Punzalan) and Chelsea Groves; great grandson – Colton Coleman; and her fat cat -Declan Waldon; step children – Chet Claborn (Tanya) and Felicia Drake (Jim); step grandchildren – Shenah, Kayleigh, Connor and Shelly; 2 step great grandchildren – Zoe and Maverick along with several nieces and nephews; special lifelong friend – Debbie Bush and her children – Kerry Michael (Tyler) and Kim.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1pm at Crafton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sulphur Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until service time at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home.
