Maxine “Mac” Hogan Brooks

Maxine “Mac” Hogan Brooks, age 88 of Park City, KY, departed this life on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Shanti Niketan Hospice House in Glasgow, KY. The Edmonson County native was born on September 12, 1935 to the late Charles B. and Janie Frances Hogan. She was married to her loving husband, Rondal L. Brooks, who survives. 

Maxine was a devoted military wife and mother. As Rondal was serving our nation in the U.S. Army, she would volunteer at the numerous schools where Jane was enrolled. She was a member of Park City United Methodist Church, and she supported all the church related activities. Maxine was also gifted to write poetry and plays for the church.

Besides her husband, Rondal, she leaves to honor her memory— her daughter, Jane Brooks Skrovan of Park City; her sister, Shelby Jean Esters (Leo) of Cave City, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
