Curtiss Alan Posey of Green County, Kentucky, son of Judith “Judy” Ann Young Posey of Greensburg and the late Joseph Nelson Posey, was born on Sunday, September 5, 1965 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 58 years, 10 months, and 8 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of Elkhorn Baptist Church and also attended Union Separate Baptist Church. He was also a Product Tech for Metalsa and a member of the U.A.W.
Survived by his wife of 16 years, Leona Gail Warren Posey of Green County, having united in marriage on April 11, 2008.
Other survivors include a daughter: Amanda Posey of Columbia; two stepsons: Matthew Stillwell of Buffalo and Jeremy Stillwell of Greensburg; two grandchildren: Jameson Stillwell of Greensburg and Kayleigh Boley of Columbia; two brothers: DeWayne Posey of Campbellsville, Mark Posey and wife, Kim of Bowling Green; special aunt: Peggy Meadows of Greensburg; special nephew: Owen Posey of Bowling Green; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Posey was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Robert Boley, III, and Joseph Daniel Posey.

The funeral services for Alan Posey will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Union Cemetery in Larue County, Kentucky. Bro. Troy Arnett and Bro. Brian Rafferty officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Tuesday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
