Betty Lou Marshall McCormick was born December 28, 1930 in Great Falls, MT. Betty passed peacefully on Sunday June 23, 2024, at the age of 93, with two of her five children by her side.
She is proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald Raymond McCormick. Her father and mother, Harry and Helen Marshall, and brothers, Robert and James.
Betty is survived by her children, Sharon Sewell of Bowling Green, KY, Maureen Parker (Bob) of La Mesa, CA., John McCormick (Maria) of Phoenix, AZ, Craig McCormick (Debbie) of Bowling Green, KY, Diana Holcomb (David) of Georgetown, KY. Grandchildren, Joe Sewell, Miranda Holcomb Atici, Sean and Brian Parker, Patrick McCormick, Samuel McCormick, Gabriel, Adrian, and Joel Del Real. Great grandchildren Jaycee and Jett Sewell. Nana McCormick to Serenity Del Real, several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, CWO. She was a chair of the funeral meals program at St. Joes’s for many years and a member of the cemetery committee. Betty was a former WBKO Hometown Hero who had a servant’s heart. She was a Registered Nurse for 50 years, retiring at the age of 75 from Greenview Hospital. She was a part of the Health and Wellness program at Greenview. She loved quilting, gardening and reading. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Visitation will be 10:30 am – 11:00 am Thursday June 27. 2024 at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am, Betty chose to be cremated and will be laid to rest with Donald at a later date in Ottawa, Illinois.
