Shirley York Oliver, 81, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at her residence. She was born December 22, 1942, in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Buford Garmon and late Hatus (Hurt) Garmon. Shirley retired from Mallory’s and was a member of Poplar Spring Church. She loved to travel and explore new places.
Shirley is survived by her son, Stevie Joe York (Marcella); sister, Letha Pierce; grandchildren, Stephanie Brewer, Louis York; great grandchildren, Emma York, Dani York, Molly York, Sam Brewer, and Zach Brewer; nephew, Michael Pierce. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Oliver; sister, Edna Shaw.
Her family has honored her wishes of cremation.
A memorial service will be held at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home at 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 29th. Visitation will begin from 10:00 AM Saturday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
