Hobert Lee Scott

Hobert Lee Scott, age 84, of Leitchfield, passed away Sunday, (June 16, 2024) at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on November 9, 1939 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Charlie and Nancy Ellen Decker Scott.

He worked at General Electric for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, and doing carpenter work. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He married Mary Patricia Kerr on January 5, 1962, and together they raised two children and were blessed with three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Hobert was a veteran of the US army. He was a member of New Life Apostolic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Kerr Scott of Leitchfield; children, Richard Lee Scott and Cindy (Glenn) Snyder; three grandchildren, Heather Embry, Lance Dodson, and Page Sims; six great-grandchildren; sister, Rose May Watson; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herschel, Harry and Ray Thomas Scott; sisters, Anna Jane Kerr and Kathy Cann.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (June 24, 2024) at New Life Apostolic Church, 510 North Clinton Street in Leitchfield. Bro. James Thornton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Landis Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and at New Life Apostolic Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
