Dana Michelle Purkerson

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Dana Michelle Purkerson, of Gold City, KY on June 13th at the age of 54 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, best friend, and soul mate Steve Purkerson; Son Ken Sloan and daughter in law Tasha Sloan; Daughters Alicia Sloan and Shelly Lillard, Grandchildren Audrina Sloan, Hayden Adams, Makenna Grace Sloan, Mackenzie McClure, Thomas McClure, Dalton Williams, and Dixie Gentry; Mother Virginia Finley; Siblings Michael Raines, Melissa Raines, Leo Finley and Diana Finley; Father-in-Law Harold Purkerson as well as numerous loving friends and family.

Dana is preceded in death by her dad; Charles Finley and Mother-in-Law; Nadine Purkerson.

Dana was a beautiful soul who showed kindness to everyone that she met. She was a loving caretaker for so many people throughout her life. If you ever met her, you loved her and she loved you. Her family was the single most important thing in her life. Dana always saw the best in every one and had a servant heart. She will be deeply missed but we know that she is in a better place and is no longer suffering. RIP beautiful Angel. We shall meet again one day in our heavenly home.

Visitation will be Monday June 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, followed by burial in the Bowling Green Gardens.
