Irving Michael Scherman

Irving Michael Scherman age 76, of Woodburn, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Northern Kentucky after a fourteen-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Irv was born on November 7, 1947 in Stuttgart Germany to the late David Scherman and the late Ruth Scherman.

He is survived by his wife, Selena, and three children, Marc Scherman (Julie), Bryan Scherman and Cindy Scherman (Joe); four grandsons, Carson Scherman, Logan Deatley, Ethan Goss, and Caleb Scherman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Irv was a member of The First Baptist Church of Bowling Green and was a sports enthusiast. He loved his sports teams, the Giants, Dodgers and the Hilltoppers. Irv loved his family, his church and loved life in general.

A celebration of life service will be held at Bethany Baptist Church in Alvaton, KY on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 12:00 noon. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00am until the time of service at noon.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hilltopper Athletic Fund, the Michael J. Fox Foundation or to the First Baptist Church of Bowling Green.
