Mar 10, 2024 | 11:05 AM

In an era marked by technological leaps and digital transformation, small businesses find themselves at the forefront of a groundbreaking evolution. Artificial Intelligence (A.I), once confined to the realms of science fiction, is now emerging as a powerful ally for entrepreneurs seeking to enhance efficiency, boost productivity, and stay competitive in an ever-evolving market.

This will be the theme of Barren Inc. educational webinar, to be held on March 28th. In this exploration of the symbiotic relationship between small businesses and A.I, members will delve into the tangible ways in which this cutting-edge technology is reshaping the narrative for local business leaders, and will uncover real-world examples of how A.I is not just a buzzword but a transformative force that has the capacity to empower and elevate small businesses to new heights.

The webinar is free to the chamber’s members and will feature Dr. Dana Hensen from WKU.

Erin Hiles, Barren Inc.’s director of membership and programs, explained that a majority of the the chamber members have 5 employees or less, this can make things difficult for the owners as balancing all the needs of a business, alone or with little help, can prove daunting.

Hiles explained that this is one example of how the implementation of A.I can assist owners with the more mundane aspects of business to allow the owner more time to focus on the more complex issues.

Listing examples of how A.I can be use Hiles said, “It can take anything from marketing, writing up a Facebook post, writing up a sale or advertisement, it can help you with all that.”

Hiles also pointed out that with several different A.I programs on the market, the webinar will also explore the pros and cons of the programs to help business owners make an educated decision on the program that would best suit their needs.

For those unable to make it to the webinar on the 28th, Hiles said that it will be recorded so that members will be able to watch it at their convenience.

Barren Inc. will be providing members with a diverse array of subjects, in a similar format to this webinar, throughout the year for its members. Hiles teased that one of their next ones will involve education on the software Canva, a graphic design tool commonly used by businesses.
