Billie Ray Vance, age 94 of Franklin, died Monday, March 4, 2024 at Auburn Health Care in Auburn, KY.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 12noon in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard.  A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Barcus Carnes Vance and Lena Estel Ferrell Vance.

He was preceded in death by 1 brother – Donald Vance and 4 sisters – Linda Towe, Betty Roach, Nadine King and Lena Mae Vance. He was a maintenance engineer and a farmer and a member of the Franklin Church of Christ.

He was an Army Veteran serving during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include 2 children – Sherry Law (John) and Billy Ray “Buddy” Vance, Jr. (Pam) all of Franklin; 2 sisters – Joyce Sampson of Woodburn and Patsy Calvert (Wayne) of Indianapolis and a brother – Jimmy Vance (Betty) of Franklin along with several nieces and nephews.
