Feb 20, 2024 | 2:48 PM

(Cave City, KY) A Man is facing drug charges after being pulled over for having an out-of-state-warrant.  Officer Wesley Hicks of the Cave City Police Department was on duty patrolling just after midnight in the Econo Lodge Hotel area when he noticed a blue Chevy Trailblazer parked with the door open.  Officer Hicks made contact with the owner, identified as Robert J. Bilyeu.  Glasgow dispatch informed that Bilyeu was wanted in the state of Kansas, and was placed under arrest for that warrant.  A following search of the suspect resulted in the discovery of a plastic baggie containing a crystal-like substance.  Bilyeu allowed officers to search his room at the motel, where more suspected methamphetamine was found.

Bilyeu was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, paraphernalia.

Officer Garth Avery with the Cave City Police Department assisted.
