(December 11, 2023) Kentucky State Police have been made aware of scams occurring on their social media accounts.
They are reminding the public that we will never ask for financial information. If you encounter a scam on social media, please report the comment or account immediately to the platform. If you are concerned about a message or comment from an account claiming to be KSP, please get in touch with their official account through Messenger or email them at KSPSocialMedia@ky.gov.
If you receive a comment or message from the official KSP Facebook or Instagram accounts, please ensure the blue check mark is next to the name. The blue check mark ensures you are communicating with their official and verified account.
If you are experiencing scams, you can report those on the Attorney General’s web page at Kentucky.gov. You can find a link for the reporting form on the Kentucky State Police Facebook page.
