Mr. Raywood Rayburn of Hardyville, Kentucky, son of the late Elam S. Rayburn and Virgie Close Rayburn, was born on Friday, February 4, 1938 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 85 years, 8 months, and 22 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a farmer and a retired member of the Hardyville Volunteer Fire Department.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jean Polston Rayburn in November of 1993.
Survivors include two daughters; Cissy Miller, and Melinda Rayburn and companion, Jason Williams all of Munfordville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Roger and Lisa Rayburn, and Michael and Jessica Rayburn all of Munfordville; 15 grandchildren: Ruth Ann Davis (Josh), Ecil Ray Miller (Robin), Joseph T. Miller, Jessica Foman (Brent), Heather Rayburn, Jonathan Rayburn, Megan Young (Dylan), Nathan Rayburn (Cassandra), Darryl J. Rayburn, Jeremiah Rayburn, Charita Rayburn, Davey Williams, Kevin Pascoe, Jason Pascoe and Sarah Pascoe; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Rayburn was also preceded in death by a son: Darryl Ray Rayburn; a sister: Alma Mae Morgan; three brothers: Wilson Rayburn, Lee Thomas Rayburn, William Rayburn.

The funeral services for Raywood Rayburn will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Davenport Cemetery. Bro. Jim Curry officiating.
Visitation is requested from 3 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Sunday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Monday until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
