Oct 17, 2023 | 5:55 PM

(October 16, 2023) A Big Clifty woman is dead following an accident in Bowling Green.

On Friday evening, Bowling Green Police were called to a multi-vehicle collision on Louisville Road in front of Hardy and Son Funeral Home.

Preliminary investigation determined that Michael Anderson of Bowling Green was driving a white SUV northbound in the right lane when he passed a vehicle in the grass, on the right side of the road. When he re-entered the roadway, he collided with Madison Rather of Bowling Green, driving a vehicle traveling northbound in the right lane.

Anderson’s SUV then left the roadway on the left side of the road, collided with a light pole and became airborne before crashing into a passenger car traveling southbound, killing the driver, 68-year-old Lucille Lucas of Big Clifty. Lucas’ passenger sustained minor injuries.

Rather, the driver of the northbound vehicle, was not injured.

Anderson, the SUV driver, was flown to a Nashville trauma center. His front seat passenger sustained minor injuries. An infant in the rear seat of his SUV was not injured.
