Bowling Green Police have arrested a man on drug and weapon charges after receiving a report early Saturday morning regarding a subject with a weapon.
Officers responded to the 300 block of East Main Street. They located a vehicle with a large quantity of marijuana in plain sight. The man nearby denied the vehicle was his despite having the keys on him and his license inside the car. They also located a handgun, as well as a rifle from inside the vehicle, along with bags of assorted drugs.
Officers arrested Michael Allen White of Bowling Green. He is lodged on the following charges: possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; trafficking in marijuana; first degree trafficking in a controlled substance – cocaine; trafficking in a controlled substance – carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives – enhanced; and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.
