MORGANTOWN – On Thursday, Kentucky State Police began investigating a fatal collision in Butler County.
Just before 2:30pm on Thursday, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office requested Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green to investigate a fatal collision in Butler County. Troopers responded to the scene of the collision located near the 2000 block of Brooklyn Chapel Road.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Christopher Fulkerson, 49, of Morgantown, was operating a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Brooklyn Chapel Road. A tree on the east side of the roadway fell and struck the roof of the vehicle. The Butler County Coroner pronounced Fulkerson and his 12 year old daughter deceased at the scene.
Detective Michael Waggener is leading the investigation. Butler County EMS, Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Butler County Coroner, and KSP personnel assisted him at the scene.
