CAVE CITY – A woman in Cave City has been arrested and charged following an incident on Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, Cave City Police Department was dispatched to 704 Broadway St. in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival, Officer J. Childress observed a male, identified as Anthony Renteria, bleeding and being treated by Cave City Fire Department in the yard and multiple people on the residence’s porch.
Officer Childress then made contact with a female on the porch, identified as Amberlynn Wood. Through investigation, it was determined that Renteria had been stabbed multiple times. Renteria was taken to TJ Samson and later flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for his injuries.
Amberlynn Wood, 21, was placed under arrest and charged with Assault (1st Degree), Domestic Violence, and Resisting Arrest.
Wood is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center under a $50,000 cash bond. Her court date is set for May 18 at 12:30 p.m.
