Geneva Dennis Riggs age 90 of Upton completed her earthly journey to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She passed away peacefully at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Second Holy Baptist Church in Fairdale, where she worshipped and was the choir leader for many years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband David T. “Raymond” Riggs, her son Junior Riggs, her daughter Jeanette Alvey, her parents King David and Ersie Dennis and three great-grandchildren
Geneva is survived by her sons Ronnie Riggs of Upton and Daniel Riggs(Bonnie) of Bloomfield and a son-in-law Bradley Alvey of Elizabethtown; grandchildren Nathan Riggs(Amy), Jessica Glenn(Timmy), Ronald Riggs, Jr., Daniel Riggs, Jr.(Kayla), Brandon Riggs(Amanda), Ashley Auxier(Timmy), Cheryl Alvey, David Alvey(Dawanna), Stevie Alvey(Lisa), Karen Crane and NaNa Reed(Robert); 29 great-grandchildren & 7 great-great-grandchildren
and her loving dog Angel.
The funeral service for Geneva Dennis Riggs will be 1pm CST Saturday, May 6th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home led by Bro. James Perry & Bro. Roy Rogers, burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11am – 8pm and after 8am Saturday at the Sego Funeral Home.
