CAVE CITY – Police in Cave City arrested a man early Monday morning after he allegedly held a woman at knifepoint as she was driving a truck.
A traffic stop was performed on the vehicle, where it was observed that the male subject was holding a knife to the female driver’s throat.
The subject, identified as Bobby R. Logsdon, 60, yelled at Officer Phillips to stay back or he would cut the female’s throat. Following officer commands to drop the knife, Logsdon then climbed over the female into the passenger seat and made her drive away, according to the release.
After another traffic stop on Happy Valley Road and more than an hour of negotiations, Logsdon handed over the tobacco-cutting knife to officers and released the female victim.
Logsdon was taken into custody and charged with Kidnapping Adult (Enhancement), Assault 2nd Degree Domestic Violence (Enhancement), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (Enhancement), Possession of Controlled Substance 1a Degree (Methamphetamine), and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possessing.
Logsdon was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
Officer Stoney Phillips was assisted at the scence by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police.
