Cody Lee Sturgeon

Cody Lee Sturgeon, age 30, of Canmer, KY, passed awat Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at his home in Canmer, KY. He was a member at Pike View Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding horses, playing games and attending activities at the Old Home Place. He collected cell phone cases, and enjoyed a good scary movie.

He was the son of the late Rodney Sturgeon and Loretta Joyce Jewell.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margie Alene and James Aurther Jewell.

Along with his mother he is survived by one brother, Ronnie Aurther Sturgeon, Canmer, KY; aunts, Kathy Lynn Trowbridge (Jackie), Monroe, KY, Sue Jewell, Cave City, KY, and Debbie Jewell (Gary), Canmer, KY; uncles, James Kenny Jewell, Canmer, KY, Steven Joseph Jewell (Madison), Buffalo, KY; Calvin Bruce Ward (Vanessa), Linwood, KY, and Daniel Allen Ward (Daphne), Magnolia, KY; several cousins and other extended family also survive.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM- 3:00 PM CT on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM CT on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Harris Officiating. Burial will follow at the Walters Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Brooks Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
