San Antonio, Texas – CheyAnne Fant, Director of Nutrition Services at Barren County Schools has been selected for the 2023 Women in Leadership award.
AASA, The School Superintendents Association, selected Fant as the recipient of the award at the National AASA Conference in San Antonio, Texas on February 17. The award pays tribute to the talent, creativity, and vision of outstanding women educational administrators in the nation’s public schools.
“This award is simply a reflection of the mighty team we have at Barren County Schools,” Fant said. “I am blessed every day to work alongside the finest ladies and gentlemen in Nutrition Services and Barren Beyond the Bell Afterschool Programs, and the entire BC family. The BC team leads with LOVE everyday!”
“We are incredibly proud of CheyAnne and the work she does for the students and staff of Barren County,” said Bo Matthews, Superintendent of Barren County Schools. “She has a servant’s heart and looks for ways to use her skills and talents to lift up others,”
Candidates are judged on leadership in meeting the learning needs of students, personal and organizational
communication strength, constant professional improvement of knowledge and skills, and active community
involvement.
