GLASGOW — A wintry mix of rain and freezing rain is expected to impact the region Monday evening and Tuesday. Here’s the latest from the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service said a slight drizzle should be expected Monday afternoon with cloudy skies and temperatures near 39. Rain is expected to on Monday evening and into Tuesday morning. Temperatures will fall to 29 and ice accumulations of less than .1 of an inch are predicted.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect through Tuesday at noon, according to the latest information available at 3 p.m. on Monday. A major ice storm is not expected, however.
The forecast Tuesday details freezing rain and temperatures near 35. Additional ice accumulations of .1 of an inch are possible.
Conditions should improve Wednesday as precipitations stops and temperatures climb back to 40. Skies will still be cloudy, however. Temperatures will remain cold through the weekend but sunny skies are expected.
