SUMMER SHADE — A man died in Metcalfe County Saturday after his vehicle crashed along Highway 90.
Kentucky State Police troopers from Post 15 in Columbia responded to the single-vehicle crash around 11:30 a.m. A vehicle was at rest in a private drive.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed Wilmer A. Alonzo Canales, 38, of Summer Shade, was driving eastbound along the highway in a Chevrolet S-10 truck. He lost control of the truck, struck an earth embankment and went airborne, according to a news release. The truck came to rest in a private drive.
Canales was pronounced dead at the scene by the Metcalfe County Coroner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation.
