GLASGOW — A man was arrested after a traffic collision Sunday.
Officers with Glasgow Police responded to the intersection of Tompkinsville Road and Falling Timbers Road, according to a news release. A vehicle was in a ditch with severe damage. Officers allege several open alcohol containers and a handgun were inside the vehicle.
Officers located George P. Whiteside, 23, of Glasgow, was determined to be impaired after several field sobriety tests. He faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle and drug-related charges.
Whiteside was charged with an EPO/DVO violation and for failing to operate his vehicle with an ignition interlock device.
Officer Allen Ward made the arrest.
