Update: A male subject was being transported to T.J. Samson Hospital for a blood draw. Several children, including one as young as 1-year-old, were involved in the crash. Kentucky State Police was on scene and were treating it as an accident with injuries as of 9 a.m. A person was flown from the scene to Vanderbilt University Hospital.
BECKTON — Several agencies are on scene of a buggy and vehicle crash in western Barren County.
Officials were responding to the incident shortly after 8:15 a.m. Two helicopters were being requested. One is flying an individual from the scene near 8104 Old Bowling Green Road. The other has been requested to transport a person from T.J. Samson Hospital.
Police said children were involved in the crash. It’s unclear how many people are involved and the extent of their injuries.
A landing area is being constructed between Highway 1297 and the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway. The area near the ramps will be closed so a helicopter can land.
The roadway is closed at this time. It’s unclear when the roadway will reopen.
