Traffic along Interstate 65 is at a standstill due to a fatal crash near mile marker 50 in the southbound lanes.

PARK CITY — Officials are on scene of a fatal collision along Interstate 65 in northern Barren County.
The crash happened sometime before 6 a.m. Wednesday. At least one vehicle is involved.
Kentucky State Police confirmed the crash involves a fatality. The southbound portion of the roadway near mile marker 50 is blocked, and traffic detours are in place.
Those traveling south should detour by taking Exit 53 at Cave City and turn left onto Highway 90. From there, use Highway 31W to travel to Park City and gain re-entry to the interstate.
